  • Suspension knocks — a very sharp clatter over potholes. Not investigated.

  • Coolant occasionally needs topping up — not much, but a little disappears from the expansion tank. Is the water‑pump seal leaking? The water pump has been replaced — was it poorly fitted? Or from the EGR end on the left side of the engine near the oil filter? Or the head gasket? Not investigated; fluid has been topped up as needed and the car driven happily.

  • Some rust in places and minor dents; slightly larger dents on the edge of the bonnet.
