Ladog All288, 1999. Good for its age — plough and grit spreader, versatile hydraulics, Savonlinna

The Ladog has hydraulic four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering. Small turning radius for handy use. Engine is a 1.9 turbo. The Ladog is registered as a work vehicle, so the use of heating oil (fuel oil) is permitted and economical. The machine has low and high gears. It can be set to four-wheel steer or front-wheel steer for road driving. Insurance is inexpensive and there are no vehicle taxes. Maximum speed on the road 50 km/h for a work machine. Odometer shows 50,204 km. Working hours unknown as there is no hour meter.

The Ladog was sandblasted and repainted a few years ago, inside and out, including doors and centre console. The electrics were checked and five LED work lights fitted. The plywood parts of the bed were renewed, the metal frame sandblasted and painted, and the plywood on the bed replaced. A stainless-steel plate protects the bed. The tip cylinder seals were renewed at the same time. The bed tips to the rear or to the side. Extras include a bank of hydraulic couplings at the front for various needs. Faulty hydraulic hoses and fittings were replaced. Hydraulic fluids were changed. A new turbo and a new exhaust have been fitted. New 1500 W hose heater with circulating pump installed.

Also fitted is a hydraulically operated plough — it can be configured into Y- or A-shape or set to throw to the side. There is also a hydraulically operated grit spreader for the rear. Of course there is a standard tow hitch for a trailer. The handbrake is present and works.

Used privately for clearing snow on the owner’s yard and summer cottage for about 7 years. Little use in summer, so overall use has been light. Approximately 200 km ago hydraulic hoses were replaced, new exhaust fitted and glow plugs changed. Oil and filter changed roughly 400 km ago. The machine is ready for immediate use.
