ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air attach to light, positively charged airborne particles, making them heavier so they fall out of the breathing zone quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes (microbial VOCs) can cause serious health harm when they enter the lungs and bloodstream. Heavier microbial toxins that do not mix with air cause harm via spores.

The efficiency of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effect is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, such as upholstered furniture and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the deep lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an over-pressurised building.

Ozone and negative ionisation together produce compounds that can efficiently remove microbial spores and many odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.

They also remove fine particles and MVOCs (microbial volatile organic compounds) and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Ozonation and negative ionisation give pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air — a clean environment in which people feel well.

Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air for workplaces.

Indoor ozone treatment cannot be carried out while people are present because ozone is produced in high concentrations to kill microbes. The combination of high ozone and negative ionisation also cleans porous materials effectively. After treatment the room must be ventilated before occupants return.
