This is a striking vehicle. Drive this and heads will turn — it is not a modest car. Big American presence with a V8. The 6.0-litre V8 delivers the proper rumble — not a weak engine. Also suitable for company use, as the price includes 25.5% VAT and, registered as a light commercial vehicle, it can be deducted in company accounts.

This fine car has just had an oil and oil filter change. In addition, the gearbox has been completely rebuilt using original GM parts. EVERY internal part of the box was replaced during the rebuild; only the gearbox housings are original. That work cost about €5,000 including fitting. The gearbox now works perfectly. The 4WD switch has also been replaced and the four-wheel-drive system now functions correctly. Battery replaced in 2026.

The car has two known faults and is sold for repair.

1. The AirBag warning light is on and the display reads: Service airbag.

The fault was investigated at American Service Oy in Vantaa, which found one of the front impact sensors to be faulty. They could not obtain a new part from Finland, so it has not been fitted. Parts were visible online from the US and cheap Chinese parts are apparently available, but the garage will not install a Chinese part. The part itself is in an easy-to-access place and straightforward to replace. The required part number and the diagnostic paperwork from the garage are included with the car.

2. The engine warning light sometimes comes on, sometimes not. The same American Service Oy garage retrieved fault code P0300 – Random cylinder misfire. When monitored, cylinders no. 2 and 7 misfire at idle. Spark plugs in those cylinders have been replaced with no effect. Compression measured about 10 bar — this is OK. Fuel injector flow rates were measured and all injectors showed even flow. The suspicion is that injector needles stick at very short opening times, which would explain the problem occurring only at idle and the even results in the flow test (which uses longer opening times).

A fuel system cleaner has been added; situation being monitored.

Background: the car stood unused for several years and the fuel in the tank naturally aged during that time; the garage believes this caused injector needle sticking. The remedy given was fresh fuel (E98) and injector cleaner, which are included. The car should be driven at steady long distances so the problem may clear.

The garage report accompanies the car. Engine running may be slightly uneven at times, but it should be driveable and the garage recommends driving it for long runs. The car moves forward and backward normally, so it is possible to drive it as is. Otherwise the car works well. Considering age and mileage it is tidy and very eye-catching. The stereo plays and the V8 rumbles!

The tyres are deep-tread ALL Terrain M+S tyres. No other tyres. The spare is the same type.

The vehicle passed inspection on 26 November 2025 with no remarks; the next inspection is due by 26 November 2026.

The car was imported to Finland in 2014.
