FJDynamics AH1 Hydraulic Autosteering

A leader in hydraulic autosteering!

The AH1 was a much‑anticipated product when it entered the market in early 2024. This retrofittable hydraulic autosteering system suits tractors, combines and other agricultural machines equipped with power steering. A sensible and economical option that upgrades a tractor to be more user‑friendly without requiring investment in a new implement or replacing the original steering wheel.

The AH1 hydraulic steering is the right choice for fixed installation, so the original steering wheel does not need to be removed. Instead of replacing the wheel, a proportional valve is fitted alongside the steering valve / orbitrol. The valve fits all tractors and both open and closed hydraulic systems. A pressure sensor recognises when the operator takes control of the steering wheel, at which point the autosteering switches off. Depending on make and model, installation may require fittings, hoses or pipes sourced from a local hydraulics supplier.

The display is clear and backlit. Optional Wi‑Fi cameras can be connected to the display so you can monitor implement operation while driving.

RTK signal

Autosteering accuracy with an RTK signal is 2.5 cm. As an alternative to a paid service, there is a cost‑effective, portable and rechargeable RTK reference station with a range of 5–10 km.

SBAS / PPP

The FJD AH1 autosteering system is equipped with SBAS. You can use autosteering with a PPP signal at 15 cm accuracy, without a paid RTK signal.

Installation of the autosteering unit

The autosteering unit can be installed by the owner or by a professional. Based on our experience, allow 1–2 working days for installation including calibrations. The time usually depends on whether the installation is surface‑mounted or embedded into the structure. The installation kit includes everything required; you only need approximately 7 m of hydraulic hose and branch fittings (hose quantity varies by make). We can also suggest an installation partner in your area.

Autosteering offers significant assistance in agricultural tasks, enhancing the operator’s work on the field. It enables more efficient use of resources and optimises driving routes, eliminating overlapping passes and making work in low light or darkness both effective and controlled. Using autosteering reduces unnecessary soil compaction, as route accuracy minimises extra driving. The system adapts to both straight and curved lines, freeing the operator to focus on other tasks such as monitoring the cutter bar. It also reduces physical strain on the operator, improving productivity and endurance during long workdays. The benefits of autosteering are clear across various field operations such as sowing, tillage, fertiliser application, harvesting and mowing, demonstrating its precision and usefulness.
