The vehicle has a few clear faults:

1) Engine misfire; suspected pump injectors or valves. It hesitates slightly below about 2,000 rpm and runs properly only once above 2,000 rpm.

2) A strange buzzing/swooshing noise often comes from under the bonnet, usually when changing gears. The sound has persisted and become more frequent even after the clutch and gearbox were changed. It doesn't seem to affect drive, but the noise is short.

3) Small whistle/whirr while driving, either the gearbox or the turbo.


The timing components will be due in about 5,000–10,000 km.

The clutch was replaced with a new one last autumn. The gearbox was also replaced but it was used and not rebuilt.

Cosmetically quite good. Panels appear free of dents; rust is starting to appear on the sills. Rear bumper has received an impact.

The driver's seat is as it is; the passenger seat has tape.

Winter tyres are model "Sakko", summer tyres have 4–5 mm tread.

Windscreen intact, unless there are small chips at the very edges. There shouldn't be.

The central locking remote does not work, battery?


I'm sure I forgot some small things, but the main concerns are under the bonnet.


The Webasto heater worked at least during the winter.


The car was driven into its current parking spot. It has been driven with all the above faults for about 500 km. I probably wouldn't risk going north with this. Fault 1 is the main concern.
