For sale: a good Sonata for repair.

The issue found was in the rear axle support beam where there was a hole. The car went to a shady workshop (no receipts, all work done unofficially) where they said it had been replaced, but it failed inspection. It appears to have been welded. Fairly well, supposedly, but the inspector said it shows signs of repair.

So this is for someone who can replace it or knows a sympathetic inspector..

A couple of bulbs still need replacing.

Otherwise the car works well. At the MOT it was praised for having an underside in relatively good condition compared with Sonatas of that age, apart from the hole, and the emissions were good.

New brake calipers and pads all round.

I would like to keep the car, but it is getting too much for my skills and energy.

Very pleasant and stable to drive, electric windows work. Everything works except that hole and a couple of bulbs.

Two sets of tyres; the winter set is in the pictures. No photo of the summer tyres, but I recall they should be OK for next summer's driving.

There wasn't much of a service book, but basic maintenance had been carried out.

Driving allowed for the re-inspection until 19 March; prohibited to drive after 19 April.

The car radio is not included in the sale. I can get a replacement if that's a deciding factor.
