Used in earthworks, this Hiace has been with me for about 12 years but has served as a spare vehicle for the last three years.


Basically a reliable van; the biggest repairs have been replacing the alternator a couple of times and a few patch repairs to the sills and underside.


Oils have been changed according to the service light, but as it counts by kilometres the last change was almost a year ago, so they should be replaced.


Winter tyres: 8 mm tread and studs intact, though not the best grip — still serviceable.


Summer tyres: two have 5.5 mm tread and the other pair 3 mm.


The auxiliary light shown in the photo is included; the wiring harness is poor and should be replaced.
