ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to attach to them, forming larger, heavier particles that quickly settle out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are very harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes — microbial toxins — form a significant health hazard when they reach the lungs and then the bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the air usually cause harm via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation in air depends on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effect is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and the high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air into the deepest parts of the lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in a positively pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can efficiently remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacteria and mould toxin odours and persistent cooking and tobacco smells.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air and a clean environment where people feel comfortable.

    Together they provide very clean indoor air also for workplaces.

Ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present because ozone is produced in large quantities to destroy microbial spores. The combined effect of high ozone concentration and negative ionisation achieves a thorough cleaning result even in porous materials. After air treatment the space is ventilated and occupants may return.
