The cleaning effect of an ultrasonic cleaner is created by transmitting waves (invisible to the human eye) through the cleaning liquid. This generates thousands of tiny cavitation centres (microbubbles) that then collapse under the same sound waves. The microbubbles' penetration causes local, rapid pressure changes that detach dirt particles (grease, other impurities) from the item's surface. With this method you can effectively clean all surfaces submerged in the tank without scrubbing or wiping the dirt away.

When a suitable liquid is used, it is ideal for disinfecting all kinds of items.
