ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to be destroyed by attaching to them, forming larger, heavier molecules that settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic substances produced by many microbes — microbial toxins that mix into indoor air as aerosols — pose a serious health risk if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavier microbial toxins that do not mix freely into the air cause harm primarily via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhalation into the deep lungs (alveoli) and then into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an over-pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and persistent cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air suitable for workplaces.

Indoor air ozonation cannot be performed while people are present because ozone is produced in large amounts to destroy microbial spores.
