Here’s a 4x4 Vito for a proper DIYer — finished apart from a few small jobs — WEDNESDAY AUCTION


This example has been in private use since 2021 and has had the same owner since then. The vehicle was inspected by us; the latest office check concluded as follows:


Identified defects and their classification

  • Chassis cross-member housing, rust damage, left and right.

  • Spring, broken, front right.

  • Brake disc, corroded, left rear.

  • Body sill housing, rust damage, front left.


  • In previous ownership since 2021 and arrived to us as part-exchange; now at auction.


We’ll pace the auction with light bids of around €20 increments



We’ll honestly list the faults up front so it’s not all praise!


- The above failures from the inspection.

- Minor paint and lacquer damage to the body (some surface rust starting to show; see photos)

- A couple of small stone chips in the windscreen

- Some rust on sills and arches, and small dents from use

- Driver’s seat upholstery torn — a typical tradesman’s seat

- Webasto/heater does not work; cause not investigated

- Something squeals/whines when the wheels are turned to full lock

Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations:

  • Good and firm to drive. All gears engage and the mechanics seem OK

  • Webasto heater dead

  • Some secondary noise when turning the wheels to full lock.

  • Did not reach operating temperature


The car has not been subject to a technical condition inspection by us, nor have all features been tested. There may be hidden defects we did not detect on the test drive. You may inspect the vehicle in more detail before placing a binding bid. Please arrange your visit in advance, thank you.
