The device’s principle is simple: once the felling direction is chosen and the required felling notch has been cut, the wedge is inserted into the saw kerf and the trigger is pressed so that the threaded rod driven by the cordless tool pushes the wedge, which moves between stainless steel lamellae, forward. The kerf opens and the tree begins to fall in the desired direction.

The mechanical felling guide produces the force needed to fell trees exactly in the chosen direction easily and without tiring the logger. The safety distance must be twice the length of the tree being felled. A single 4 Ah battery can fell dozens of trees.
