The device's operating principle is simple: once the desired felling direction has been decided and the required felling notch has been cut, the wedge is inserted into the saw kerf and the trigger is pressed. The threaded rod, driven by the cordless tool, pushes the wedge moving between stainless steel lamellae forward, opening the kerf and causing the tree to fall in the chosen direction.

The mechanical directional felling device produces the force needed to fell trees exactly in the desired direction easily and without straining the woodsman. The safety distance must be twice the length of the tree being felled. A single 4 Ah battery can fell dozens of trees.
