Well-maintained multi-purpose vehicle from direct large-family use. The car has been our family’s main vehicle for 6 years. Sold for repair. Extensive work has been done (receipts and photos available). A new alternator was fitted at a garage but then stopped charging and was returned; the freewheel and drive coupling were replaced under warranty. It is unclear if a non-original part was fitted — the same noise returned about a week later. The van has just completed a few-hundred-kilometre trip despite the noise; charging and engine performance are normal. I won’t speculate whether the fault is major or minor, but it is no longer suitable as the family’s primary transport. There are some rust spots (visible in the photos), but unusually solid sheet metal for a T5. A sliding door cable is broken: the door opens normally but must be unlocked manually when closed. New cables for both sides are included. The air-conditioning fan is missing, but it cooled reasonably well in summer; a new universal fan is included. The vehicle has two sets of wheels. The factory turbo hoses have been replaced with forged billet/silicone pipes. Dark rear lights fitted; original lights included if wanted. Front lights are fairly new. A brand-new auxiliary light. Emission equipment in place and most likely the standard ECU — not reprogrammed during our ownership. According to the papers the vehicle was imported to Finland in 2013 and was with the previous owner for years. A VW enthusiast/mechanic could certainly use this car for years. This vehicle has no AdBlue and no DPF. A clock was fitted to the original Webasto but it requires a second battery under the seat to operate the timer; it currently works only while driving. Brand-new windscreen. There may be other hidden faults, but these are the known issues.
