Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations:


- I could not get the roof to open (the exact functional fault in the roof opening mechanism remains undetermined).


- When the engine is cold and the accelerator is pressed there is a noise from the engine (Wetteri Auto Oy Lempäälä’s workshop inspected the car briefly and the noise does not seem to come from the timing chain). It may possibly be BMW’s Vanos (variable camshaft timing), but this cannot be confirmed.


- No warning lights are on and the car’s performance appeared normal during the test drive. The car was driven just over 90 km to the dealership without issues. The timing chain was replaced in October 2025 (see service receipt images).


- The summer tyres are no longer in good condition and should definitely be replaced!


I could not test the air conditioning due to freezing temperatures.
