The barrel is made of polyethylene, completely seamless, very easy to keep clean and simple to use.

The complete delivery includes a sturdy, snow-load resistant plastic cover with lifting handle, a large approx. 35 kW marine-aluminium stove, a drain tap and outlet pipe. The tub is thermally insulated. The base contains 45 cm Styrox fill — so frost won’t bother the tub. The outer cladding is domestic heat-treated pine (Lunawood). The tub package is 100% Finnish quality workmanship.

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s Classic Hot Tub is fully made in Finland down to the smallest particle. We are proud of our production line and have built this Classic Hot Tub model for years using the same proven method. The rim panels arrive long to the factory, are cut to size and formed into an element into which a pre-glued insulated base from Sastamala and a maintenance-free PE plastic bowl moulded by Pipelif of Oulu are inserted. Our experienced tub specialists drill the drain hole in the base, make the heater holes in the side and fit the hoses. Finally the package is carefully tilted onto its side to fit the outlet pipe.

The Classic Hot Tub is delivered freight-free to its new happy owner, who only needs a water hose, firewood and fire-starting tools. The new owner should ensure the tub is set level so the water does not sit unevenly. Installation instructions are included, but in practice you only attach the heater to the tub with hose clamps on a level surface, screw the heater outlet valve closed and off you go.

Improved seating comfort in the rotationally moulded bowl — also for taller bathers

The maintenance-free, rotationally moulded PE bowl comes from nearby Pipelif in Oulu. Their process forms the bowl from plastic granules in a rotating oven. After cooling the bowl is ready for our production line.

We have paid special attention to seating comfort. The bowl sides are not vertical — a wedge-shaped insulating air gap sits between the bowl and rim panels, which supports the bather’s back better. Our rim heights are generally higher than other makers’, so even taller bathers’ shoulders sink below the steaming water surface and necks stay warm. Seat comfort is top-class and legs are not cramped even though the seat is not too low.

Super-efficient marine-aluminium stove

Our marine-aluminium stoves are made in Finland. The powerful 35 kW stove copes with both fresh and sea water. Carefully chosen materials make the stove a hot top product. Marine aluminium conducts heat well, the front plate is stainless steel and the glass door lets you check the fire without opening it. The stove package includes 2 m of chimney pipe and a rain cap. Note that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as it oxidises the material. We recommend changing the water often and using active oxygen tablets (see accessories). Active oxygen treats water for roughly 24 hours and afterwards the water can be used for watering, as it contains no added chemicals and is safer for children. Untreated water easily develops a slimy ring on the tub edge, but active oxygen prevents this.

Easy maintenance with little effort

The Classic Hot Tub does not freeze even in frosty ground. The 45 cm Styrox insulation in the base prevents cold reaching the bottom and helps keep the water warmer. A plastic cover is included to reduce heat loss significantly. A well-heated tub can be reheated the next morning with a single load of wood.

There is also warmth in the Lunawood heat-treated pine panels that finish the tub’s appearance. You do not have to treat the pine — it will age to an attractive grey over the years. If you prefer to keep the brown tone, apply wood oil annually. The plastic bowl is maintenance-free — without moulded seams dirt has nowhere special to collect. Remember to clean the tub surfaces when changing the water with ordinary detergents. More meticulous users may occasionally disinfect the bowl, but remember to handle wastewater correctly.
