Well-preserved Ford Thunderbird in original condition.

Imported from Sweden in April. According to the seller the car was repainted 15 years ago. The original colour is shown in the attached Carfax report. According to Carfax the car has covered about 100,000 km, but the odometer is in miles... The car was brought to Sweden in 2005 and was the owner's pride. He passed away and his son sold the car. I bought it as a second hobby car, but I don't have time to run two.


Pictures speak for themselves. The car comes with a Ford Thunderbird model. According to the seller this was supplied when the buyer ordered a second new car from the factory. The equipment list is printed on the base of the model. I suspect the model may be rarer than the car. The car also comes with the original owner's manual and the factory tag that hung from the rear-view mirror. In addition there is old literature about Thunderbirds, parts lists, etc.


The car is eligible for museum registration. The wheels are not acceptable as they are. The original hubcaps are, however, preserved. Fitting them to the wheels under the car for inspection requires only a little tinkering. A warm winter storage spot has been reserved for the car. It can therefore be moved to your own garage immediately or in the spring.


Also the so-called fender skirts, i.e. partial covers that fit over the rear wheels, are found in my storage.

The car’s suspension needs attention. There is some light corrosion in the sheet metal on both sides of the boot floor. These areas are easily accessible and on a straight section of the panel. There is plenty of room and repairs are straightforward.


The gear selector is worn. Starting requires a slight nudge of the selector from its position. The indicator stalk is worn; the indicators work but may need movement of the switch to engage.


The ammeter light does not illuminate and the instrument lighting is a little unreliable. Turning the light switch can help. That’s what came to mind for now; there may be other small issues.
