Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TDI 140 hp S-Line

Sold for repair or for parts.

Mileage 448,000 km and MOT: April 2025.

Imported from Germany in 2012 and in our use since 2017.

The car has been in our family for over 8 years and was mainly used for commuting of about 100 km per day on both motorways and country roads.

Regularly serviced — see entries in the service book.

Necessary repairs were always carried out promptly when issues were found. Service and repair receipts in a stack.

The car is standard; no engine remap has been done.

Engine fault.

The gearbox, timing set and dual-mass flywheel were replaced at 290,000 km, but unfortunately the timing-belt teeth were stripped on a cold start in severe frost and the timing jumped at idle. The belt manufacturer's suggested intervals were not met and a change had been booked, but bad luck struck.

The engine has not been opened for a detailed inspection and only the timing cover plastics were removed.

Requires at least a cylinder head overhaul or head replacement.

The gearbox had to be replaced earlier because the pipe to the cooler had slowly started leaking and the box ran out of oil. The current gearbox has done about 100,000 km less than the car.

The exterior shows mileage, mainly stone chips. Surface rust on the front arches and paint peeling at the front edge of the sill boxes. There may be some small scratches but no major dents.

There is a fault in the tailgate wiring and the tailgate opens only with the remote control.

The rear-wiper arm broke long ago and the rear wiper motor sometimes hums when switched on.

The motor also starts automatically when the windscreen wipers are active and reverse gear is engaged.

The underside is intact and nothing alarming was found at the last inspection. These models' rear subframe is also less prone to rusting through than newer ones.

Some underbody protective plastics have broken over time.

The equipment level differs considerably from the basic Business trim — the previous owner clearly prioritised comfort and selected many options.

The car includes S-Line interior and exterior packages and the following features:

- 8-speed Multitronic automatic gearbox. Reliable and shifts smoothly. Oil changed December 2025.

- Leather interior with fully electric front seats. Front seats are the same as RS seats, with S-line embroidery. Driver's seat still intact despite high mileage. Seats have been fitted since new.

No summer tyres as the original wheels were sold last autumn while waiting for replacement wheels.

Unfortunately the car is very dirty outside and needs some interior cleaning as I didn't get it washed before the engine failure.

Plenty of work for a mechanic for a long time.

The car is located in a workshop yard in Raisio and must be collected by trailer, recovery truck or similar.
