ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause lightweight, positively charged airborne particles to clump together and fall out of the breathing zone faster.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are very harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes can cause severe health hazards if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that are not airborne cause health harm via spores only.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When the unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk at homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles enter the bloodstream via the lungs (alveoli) and cause serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly well in slightly pressurised buildings.

    Together they form compounds that effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and persistent cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation create a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air environment.

    Together they produce very clean indoor air suitable also for workplaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed while people are present because ozone is produced in large amounts to destroy microbial spores. With high ozone concentration combined with negative ionisation, effective cleaning reaches porous materials. After treatment the space is ventilated and occupants may return.
