A conveniently drivable Volkswagen Golf 1.4 for auction — one of the world’s most popular models.

On a short test drive the car appeared to operate normally and drove as expected.

The engine idles smoothly and the gears engage as they should.

Just inspected (MOT).

According to the service book, the timing belt and water pump were replaced at 221,000 km in 2023. The multi-rib belt was also replaced at the same time.

The most recent service and wheel alignment per the service book were carried out in Feb 2025 at approximately 239,000 km.

Comes with two sets of tyres, both on alloy wheels. The summer tyres are past their best and are in poor condition.

Detachable towbar! The towbar is included in a bag in the wheel well.

Engine block heater and 12V interior socket.


Noted during the test drive:

- Minor rust and signs of use here and there — see pictures.

- The key fob’s central locking button is missing and does not work. Central locking does work from the driver’s door.

- Using the key, the passenger-side lock does not operate (it turns freely). The door can be locked/unlocked normally from the driver’s door via central locking.

- With central locking the tailgate closes but cannot be opened by central locking. The tailgate can be opened from the lock with the key.


The car has not undergone a technical condition check by us and the functionality of all equipment has not been tested. There may be hidden faults that we did not notice during the test drive.
