On a short test drive we made the following observations:


The Volvo felt surprisingly good to drive.

The car indicates that the service interval is overdue.

Some small knocks from the suspension.

The driver-side doors do not lock and the windows do not open.

Of the summer tyres, two are worn out; two still meet the legal minimum, though I would not praise them.

The steering felt a little stiff when turning while parked.

Bodywork surprisingly tidy considering the mileage.

With a little tinkering this can still make a fine vehicle for new adventures. The inspection was passed with the following repair recommendations:


  • Side indicator not working

  • Left side window does not open

  • Registration plate light
