The cleaning effect of an ultrasonic cleaner is produced by transmitting waves (inaudible to the human eye) through the cleaning liquid. This creates thousands of tiny cavitation centres (microbubbles) that then collapse under the action of the same sound waves. The penetration of the microbubbles causes local, rapid pressure changes that dislodge dirt particles (grease and other contaminants) from the surface of objects. This method lets you clean all surfaces immersed in the tank effectively without scrubbing or wiping.

When a suitable liquid is used, it is ideal for disinfecting all kinds of items.
