Engine: 2.0 Turbo FSI (petrol), 200 hp, with a reliable Tiptronic automatic gearbox. Starts and runs well and serves its purpose as a mover excellently. Does not pull or shake while driving, not even under acceleration or braking. Very stable, although it may look a little intimidating at first. The mechanicals work well, the gearbox shifts smoothly and there are no notable drivability issues. No warning lights are on and the cabin heats up properly; the blower system shows no faults. The car is fitted with non-studded winter tyres, which are in good condition.

Notes:

The engine is leaking oil from somewhere — observed by checking under the undertray with a light; it was wet. Not investigated further.


Body and interior

The body is showing signs of age. Not yet so corroded as to have holes. Interior generally tidy, normal wear.

Seat heaters and lumbar supports do not work, likely an electrical/fuse issue.
An auxiliary light did not illuminate even with main beams on. Not investigated further.

The front passenger door does not open from the exterior handle but does open from the interior handle — a fairly typical nuisance on older VW Group cars. Other doors open normally.

Defects and other observations

On a short test drive we made the following observations
- Lumbar supports and seat heaters do not work, likely an issue with the seat electrics/fuse
- Good handling, no unusual noises or symptoms

- Running noise normal, gearbox operates well

- Oil leak from the lower part of the engine, not investigated further
