Ultrasonic cleaners are an ecological cleaning system. 

The cleaning effect of the ultrasonic cleaner is produced by transmitting waves (invisible to the human eye) through the cleaning fluid in the water. This creates thousands of tiny cavitation centres (microbubbles) which then implode under the influence of the same sound waves. The penetration of the microbubbles causes local, rapid pressure changes that separate dirt particles (grease, other contaminants) from the surface of the item. With this method you can effectively clean all surfaces submerged in the tank without having to scrub or wipe the dirt.

When a suitable liquid is used, it is ideal for disinfecting all kinds of items.
