Ion production requires an ioniser unit inside the machine. Ozone plates do not produce ions.

ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to cluster by attaching to them, forming larger, heavier particles that quickly settle out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air, which are very harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes, mixing into indoor air as aerosols = microbial volatile compounds, present a severe health risk when they enter the lungs and bloodstream. Microbial toxins that remain unmixed in air cause harm mainly via spores, which are producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air into the deep lungs (alveoli) and then into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in an overpressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce compounds that can remove microbial spores and various odours effectively, e.g. sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ion treatment also removes fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds) and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).

    Ozonation and negative ionisation create a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air that is healthy to occupy.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air suitable for workplaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed while people are present because ozone is produced at high concentrations to destroy microbial spores.
