So, now for sale: a Keeway moped — it is registered but has been taken out of traffic use.

I bought it for the little boys to learn to ride; we rode it home and even I, an old man, rode it on a field road — it ran fairly well.

It then stood for a couple of months and when the boys went to ride it for the first time it wouldn't take any throttle at all. It idles nicely, but when you open the throttle it dies.

I don't understand it and haven't investigated as I don't know about these things.

The front brake disc with caliper is in a bag, and the indicators and some springs — there is of course some screwing to do. A 15‑year‑old kid has tuned and painted it; it has an aftermarket performance exhaust and at least the lambda sensor is missing from the pipe.

According to TraFi it's a 2024 model but it was purchased on 15 December 2021. For someone who can do the work this is probably not a major fault, but I've outgrown mopeds and I'm selling it as seen — nothing else, just bid and enjoy it rattling around in summer.
