⚠️ Diesel heater Safety instructions

The diesel heater's combustion consumes oxygen and produces dangerous exhaust gases. Incorrect installation can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning or fire.

1. Exhaust gas management (Main rule)

• Outdoors only: Exhaust gases must be routed completely outdoors with a metal exhaust pipe from the building, tent or vehicle.

• Sealed: Ensure the exhaust connection to the heater body is sealed using the supplied clamp. Even a small leak into the interior can be fatal.

• CO alarm: Always install a quality carbon monoxide detector in the space. It is cheap life insurance.

  
  

2. Exhaust temperature and insulation

The exhaust pipe reaches very high temperatures in use.

• Max temperature: Exhaust gas temperature at the outlet can reach up to 250–450 °C depending on power. The metal pipe itself can glow hot.

• Feed‑through: If the exhaust pipe passes through a wall or floor, use a non‑combustible insulation (e.g. fire wool or a separate metal feed‑through sleeve). The pipe must not touch wood, plastic or other combustible materials directly.

• Clearance: Keep the exhaust pipe at least 10 cm away from all meltable or flammable materials along its length.

  
  

3. Combustion air and heated air

• Separate intakes: Ensure the heater's exhaust pipe is not near the unit's combustion air intake or the heated air inlet. Otherwise the unit may draw its own exhaust back in.

  
  

4. Fuel handling

• Position the fuel tank so that any leak would not allow diesel to run onto a hot exhaust pipe.
