After basic test drives it feels like a rather handy little car and comes with two sets of decent tyres. Gears engage cleanly, brakes work, etc. It’s not the prettiest car anymore, but it should still have kilometres ahead. Aftermarket fitted: remote central locking (2x remotes), touchscreen head unit, Kenwood front speakers and a sort of “subwoofer” in the boot (actually a speaker found at home used as a sub, not a dedicated car-audio unit).

According to the previous owner, the coolant level was noticed low within a week; it was topped up and the car was taken into a garage for a day to check for leaks, but none were found. No further investigation has been carried out.

There are receipts for the service actions listed in the service book; other work was done privately and not recorded. Engine oil reportedly changed about a year ago.

Timing belt, tensioner and water pump replaced according to the book in December 2022 at 156,000 km.

The car has two sets of tyres in acceptable condition on steel wheels.

During a short test drive we made the following observations:

  • No issues noted in use; owner’s remark: coolant was topped up when low and the car was driven into a garage to check for leaks. No leak observed — not investigated further.

We have not carried out a technical inspection and have not tested all equipment. The car may have hidden faults not found during the test drive and inspection.
