ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to cluster and fall out of the breathing zone more quickly, as the larger heavier particle drops out of the air.

Negative ionisation also helps break down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Microbial toxins produced by some microbes, when aerosolised in indoor air, are a serious health risk as they can reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the indoor air cause harm primarily via spores, which are producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on achieving high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions as well as ozone, its effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the deep lung (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing severe health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in a positively pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can remove microbial spores and various odours effectively, for example sewer gases, smoke, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and tobacco smells.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOCs and VOCs.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation create a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air — clean air where people feel well.

Ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present, because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. With high ozone concentration and the combined effect of negative ionisation a good clean is achieved even in porous materials.
