ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to cluster and fall out of the breathing zone as the larger, heavier particles settle quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Microbe-produced toxic compounds that mix into indoor air as aerosols (= microbial VOCs) pose a serious health risk when they enter the lungs and then the bloodstream. Non-dispersed, heavy microbial toxins cause harm mainly via spores, which carry these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions as well as ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air present a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel into the lower parts of the lungs (alveoli) and from there into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in a positively pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and a variety of odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke, bacterial and mould toxin smells, and persistent cooking and smoking odours.

    Ozone and negative ion treatment also remove fine particles and MVOC (microbial volatile organic compounds) and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air; clean conditions are good for occupants.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air for workspaces as well.

Indoor ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. The combined effect of high ozone concentration and negative ionisation achieves good cleaning results even in porous materials. After indoor cleaning the space must be ventilated before occupants return.
