Lively Octavia RS!! And what mileage!!!


The previous owner even took the car to the inspection before the sale and it passed without comments. On our test drive the car seemed to be in good condition both in terms of chassis and mechanics. No warning lights are on; the engine pulls as it should, although it tends to spin more in these conditions even at higher speeds, despite the winter tyres still appearing fairly good... The gearbox shifts smoothly as it should, so no unusual observations there.


The car has an electronic service history up to 2022, after which the previous owner says it was serviced privately.


One cannot write only praise about a car of this age, so a few observations we made are as follows.


-Car requests service

-Early rust on both sides of the rear wheel arch; pictures available.

-Rust on the lower edge of the driver’s doors.

-Two summer tyres completely worn, two close to the legal limit.

-According to the previous owner the Webasto starts but then stops. We did not investigate this ourselves, but could this indicate a faulty circulation pump?


With a little tinkering this makes a nice, quick RS Octavia to drive.

  • Engine pulls and the gearbox shifts as it should — the car has very low mileage

  • With minor repairs a nice, brisk daily car
