Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations
-The timing chain did NOT make noise, not even on cold start, in our view!
-The engine pulls well and the transmission shifts smoothly

-Several full-throttle accelerations done, no fault mode and no warning lights illuminated!

-Air suspension worked normally during inspection, it raises and lowers normally and had not settled overnight. However, an amber warning light for the air suspension was on, preventing level adjustment; after two more test drives raising and lowering the suspension, the light has not reappeared.

-Leaves oil underneath if left standing for a while, so there is an oil leak somewhere in the engine.

-At low speed there is a knock at the front, sounds like a steering tie-rod end or a ball joint, but this has not been examined further.

-Webasto remote does not work — pressing it lights green but it flashes red and does not start the heater. Using the on-board computer/timer to start the Webasto when the car is stationary does start it normally. So the heater itself works but the remote control could not be made to work.

-Driver's door must be unlocked with the key when unlocking the doors (key fob unlock does not open it).

-One rear window does not go up/down. It is closed, though.

-After cold start the glow-plug warning light is briefly illuminated, but the engine has started and run normally in our sub -5 °C tests.

-Quiet and stable to drive!

-Multirib belt recently replaced! At the same time the belt tensioner rollers etc. were checked and are in good condition, not loose.

-Reverse parking sensor beeps continuously when reversing / not functioning correctly.

-Turbo actuator/control unit replaced in 2025

-Receipts for services/repairs in the car of about 20 pages; no specific entry for the timing chain. However, it does not make noise.

-New AGM battery 105 Ah

-Technical condition as described; factory campaigns/recalls have been carried out.
