Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations:


-Engine and drivetrain operate normally

-Drives satisfactorily.
-Remote locking for the doors does not work.

-Water in the driver's footwell.

-Coolant expansion tank almost empty. A little clear liquid at the bottom as residue.

-No sludge or froth on the oil filler cap.

-Occasional hissing/rattling noise at idle. (Could it be the water pump?)

-According to the previous owner it started losing coolant in freezing weather. The cause has not been determined.
