The cleaning effect of an ultrasonic cleaner is produced by transmitting waves (invisible to the human eye) through the cleaning fluid. This generates thousands of tiny cavitation centres (microbubbles) which then implode under the same sound waves. The penetration of the microbubbles causes local, rapid pressure changes that detach dirt particles (grease, other impurities) from the surface of the item. With this method you can efficiently clean all surfaces immersed in the cleaner without scrubbing or wiping away the dirt.

When a suitable fluid is used, it is perfectly suitable for disinfecting all kinds of items.
