ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles suspended in the air to cluster and fall quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes that mix into indoor air as aerosols form a major health hazard when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Microbial toxins not mixed into the air typically cause harm via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a device produces both ozone and negative ions, the effectiveness compared with ozone alone is 5–10 times better, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.
