This is a fairly tidy BMW for moving on.

MOT valid until 8 Jan 2026. I will fetch the fault list this week. Fault list valid until early February. Driving permit until early March.

Faults/cons

-The car naturally shows signs of use as it is 20 years old, so not new or like-new

-Antenna amplifier is dead, so doors must be locked mechanically with the key and radio reception is weak

-Rear right window regulator faulty

-Also reports errors for the parking sensors

-I updated the fault list in the picture; all parts required for the MOT have been purchased and are included. Some faults already fixed: right rear shock lower end replaced, right squeak part replaced, side indicator fitted, front halogen bulbs installed as the old LEDs were very poor, and handbrake tightened.

-Traction control light is on — it reported a DSC pump error; the pump has been replaced but it may still need coding. MOT did not note this. The brake-pad warning light is on because the rear sensor wire is broken.


Maintenance has been done recently, e.g. all brake discs, pads and calipers. Injector seals and the valve-cover gasket are intended to be changed before sale; these parts are in the boot awaiting fitting.

New power-steering belt fitted and new Bosch battery.
