ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to cluster and fall out of the breathing zone, because the newly formed larger, heavier particles settle quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are particularly harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes — mixing into the indoor air as aerosols — become a serious health hazard when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the indoor air cause harm mainly via spores, which are producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, performance is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhalation to the lower parts of the lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an overpressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and a range of odours, such as sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxins, and persistent cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation create a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air; people feel comfortable in such a clean space.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air also for workplaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed while people are present, because ozone is produced in large amounts to destroy microbial spores.
