If the buyer withdraws from an accepted bid, the buyer must compensate the seller for costs arising from the failed auction organisation (27/03/1987/355 and 05/01/1994/16). 
Compensation for cancelling a binding sale is 10% of the hammer price, but at least EUR 200. 
The compensation payment is, according to the VAT Act, an amount on which VAT is not charged.
If unforeseeable circumstances arise, the seller reserves the right to accept or reject the highest bid
