Ford Mondeo, 1.8-litre, 2006, has been with us for about 10 years. At the inspection the rear axle beam was found to be corroded and needs to be replaced completely. As we don’t have the expertise and having it replaced at a garage would be expensive, the car must be sold. Driving permission is valid until 12/01/2026.


The car has mainly been used for city driving and in recent years has seen quite little use. Our plan was to use up the remaining kilometres because it has been reliable and good to drive. The car has been serviced during our ownership annually/as needed, but minor faults have not been repaired if they did not affect driving. These faults are listed under “Defects and other observations”.


There is much that is in good working order, so we hope someone can either use it as a daily car or for spare parts.

  • Summer tyres on alloy wheels bought nearly new in spring 2024 and are still in good condition.

  • Winter tyres on steel wheels bought nearly new in winter 2023 and these are also still in good condition. Also included is an almost unused set of wheel trims.

  • Battery and alternator replaced in summer 2025.

  • Heated windscreen works.

  • Interior is in tidy condition apart from normal wear.

  • Socket for an interior heater.
