Operating principle

The engine drives an oil pump, combustion fan and atomiser. Fuel drawn by the oil pump is fed to the atomiser through the fuel line and mixes with air drawn in by the fan into the main combustion chamber. The fuel is ignited by a hot glow plug, burns completely in the afterburner and flows back along the cooling fins on the inner wall of the water jacket. Heat is transferred to the coolant in the water-jacket gap, and the heated fluid circulates through the whole piping under the action of the water pump, warming it. Exhaust gases produced during combustion are expelled via the exhaust pipe.
