ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to clump together; the resulting larger, heavier particles fall quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful to breathe. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes (microbial toxins) mixed into the indoor air as aerosols can cause significant health harm if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a unit produces both ozone and negative ions, its effectiveness is 5–10 times greater than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, for example upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel into the lower lungs (alveoli) with inhaled air and can enter the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially well in an overpressurised building.

    Ozone together with negative ionisation creates compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxin smells, and stubborn cooking and smoking odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOCs/VOCs.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed while people are present, because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. After air purification the space is ventilated and occupants may return.
