High-yield, six-stage Adwasys RO370-UV reverse osmosis unit with UV sterilisation for purifying drinking water.

The Adwasys 370RO-UV makes freshwater potable without chemicals. The efficient unit can produce up to 370 litres of clean water per day. The six-stage process removes up to 99.99% of contaminants, viruses and bacteria. The package includes accessories, filters, a storage tank and a drinking water tap.

The reverse osmosis system is based on a series of pre- and post-filters and a reverse osmosis membrane that only pure water molecules can pass through. The final stage is a Philips UV lamp that sterilises viruses and bacteria.

The unit has automatic flushing and is maintenance-free except for filter replacements and any storage and recommissioning after idle periods. The system fills a pressurised 11-litre tank from which water is immediately available.

Six-stage purification process:

1. STAGE 1: Pre-filtration

• 5 µm polypropylene fine filter removes solids such as pollen and fine sand

• Protects the downstream filters

2. STAGE 2: Activated carbon filtration (granular)

• Granular activated carbon removes chlorine and taste and odour issues

3. STAGE 3: Activated carbon filtration (pressed)

• 1 µm activated carbon filter refines water quality by enhancing earlier filters, removing heavy metals, humic substances and organic compounds

• Further removes taste and odour problems

4. STAGE 4: Reverse osmosis membrane

• 0.1 µm osmosis membrane cartridge (Vontron) 100 GPD (≈378 litres/day)

• The actual purification occurs by forcing water through the membrane

5. STAGE 5: Mineralisation

• The final mineral filter adjusts the pH towards neutral and refreshes the taste by adding small amounts of calcium and magnesium.

6. STAGE 6: UV sterilisation

• Removes all organic matter and ensures the water is safe to drink
