For sale: my pride and joy - possibly one of the most versatile, safest, sensible and best year-round convertible cars, with luxury equipment, the best drivetrain package, an aftermarket Nordic winter pack and a detachable towbar.

Timing belt recently replaced and the car has been very well serviced; details below.

Inspected on 16/04/2025 with no comments and praised; underside tidy.

• 04/2025 All gasket surfaces serviced.

• 338,000 km Tyre balance, four-wheel alignment and inspection of ABS sensors.

• 337,000 km Oil and filter change and both drive shafts.

• 321,000 km Timing belt + tensioners + water pump + accessory belts, oil and filter, rear anti-roll bars, new summer tyres, Webasto service.

• 313,000 km Automatic gearbox oil service.

• 312,000 km Oil and filter, rubber bushings for front wishbones (left and right) and multi-rib belts.

Earlier entries in the service book show continued good maintenance and up-to-date service records.

Equipment includes electric all‑season roof (similar to S60 series), a slightly larger boot with room for just over a hundred litres with the roof down, full leather interior with heated front seats and electrically adjustable driver’s seat, Webasto with two timers and direct start - works, engine heater with interior socket - works, heated electrically operated glass, functioning automatic dual‑zone climate control, Xenon headlights, fog lights, detachable towbar (used to tow a trailer this summer) with intact seven‑pin connector, four electric windows, cruise control, ESP - traction control, two keys with remote controls (batteries should be replaced, but the car can be locked with the physical key stored inside the remote), considered the safest convertible in tests with all airbags, Volvo audio system with steering‑wheel controls, AUX and FM transmitter (can be included) so you can also stream music via Bluetooth.

This is a convertible suitable for summer, winter, rain or frost, ready for someone who appreciates quality and luxury, and comes well serviced and fully ready to drive. The next 100,000 km should be doable without major services.

With the best available drivetrain package: Volvo's own 2.4 l D5 five‑cylinder 165 hp / 350 Nm engine, a proven unit over decades.

The five‑cylinder’s throaty rumble with turbo assistance is enjoyable and Volvo’s 5‑speed Geartronic gearbox follows commands reliably. The car pulls strongly from standstill and has no trouble at cruising speeds; the performance is effortless and enjoyable. More power would not be transferred to the road in dynamic driving, so the overall balance is very pleasant. The chassis and body are significantly stiffer than the saloon equivalent, so the car handles corners differently, doesn’t lean, absorbs bumps well and is calm on the motorway with cruise control.

At the front seats the wind doesn’t affect a 185 cm person wearing a cap, and at the rear a 170 cm person does fine at 100 km/h without raising their voice or removing their cap. Many good family trips have been made on main roads and to swimming spots with the roof down, music playing and enjoying the outdoors.
