An air-to-water heat pump is a durable and economical heating solution.
The touchscreen control panel is easy to use and a Wi‑Fi remote control is included so you can conveniently operate the pump remotely via a mobile app.

In the Monoblock series the refrigerant circuit is fully integrated into the outdoor unit. This design ensures good thermal insulation, space savings and quiet operation. Its compact construction also makes the unit easy to install and service. As the refrigerant work is completed at the factory, on-site installation costs can be reduced: the installer only needs to make the heating system connections and required electrical work.

The heat pump is an inverter model, which saves electricity compared with ON/OFF units. An inverter-controlled unit adjusts heating power as required. A common problem with ON/OFF heat pumps is short run cycles in spring and autumn. Short cycles increase compressor starts; each start uses a lot of electricity and wears the compressor. When correctly sized, an inverter allows continuous heating for most of the season without frequent stops.

The heat pump can be controlled with a fixed temperature setpoint or an ECO setting based on outdoor temperature. Temperature is measured on the return side. For ECO you enter four outside temperatures and the required fluid temperature for each so room temperature stays stable.

The updated model has SG Ready functionality, allowing the pump’s consumption to be controlled by spot electricity prices. Using SG Ready typically requires controllers such as Shelly Pro 2 and Shelly Pro 3EM to forward the market price to the heat pump. The EVU function is also standard with this update. EVU allows solar panels to be integrated into the heat pump system; the pump increases heating power when solar electricity is available.

Installation (brief)
This is a Monoblock unit, so supply and return pipes are brought to the indoor buffer tank. Connections are 1" internal thread. No separate indoor unit is required. The manufacturer recommends a 60–100 litre buffer tank. A circulation pump and a dirt strainer must be fitted on the pipe to the heat pump. The strainer filters metal and plastic debris and other contaminants from the heating system fluid so they do not block the heat exchanger. An expansion vessel must be connected to the system if one is not already fitted.

You may choose a standard circulation pump or a PWM variable-speed circulation pump. The heat pump can control a PWM pump’s flow, improving efficiency.

The heat pump includes a touchscreen display panel to be installed indoors. Cable length is over 5 metres.

If you intend to heat domestic hot water with the heat pump, a separate hot-water cylinder is required. For sizing, use 50 litres per person. The cylinder must have a coil. The heat pump return pipe is connected to a three-way valve controlled by three wires. The pump opens the valve to supply DHW when the cylinder temperature falls below the hysteresis. The valve connects flow pipes to the heating circuit/buffer and the DHW cylinder. Returns from both the DHW cylinder and the buffer tank should flow freely back to the heat pump.
