ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to clump together, forming larger, heavier particles that settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxins produced by microbes, when aerosolised into indoor air, form a major health hazard when they enter the lungs and then the bloodstream. Heavy microbe toxins that do not mix into air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstered furniture and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles are carried to the deep lungs (alveoli) via inhalation and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in an over-pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke odours, bacteria and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and tobacco smells.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor air; it is a healthy environment for people.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air for workspaces as well.

Indoor ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. The high ozone concentration combined with negative ionisation achieves good cleaning results even in porous materials. After cleaning, the ozonated area is ventilated and occupants may return.
