ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to clump together: the larger, heavier particles settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are very harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes — microbial toxins that mix into the indoor air as aerosols — constitute a major health risk if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into the indoor air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation relies on achieving high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effect is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with breathing to the lower parts of the lungs (alveoli) and into the circulation, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergy.

Ozonation and negative ionisation clean harmful fine particles from indoor air and also remove bacteria, moulds, viruses and various gases.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in an overpressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together create compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours — for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn smells from cooking and smoking.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds) and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation give a pleasant indoor air that is easy to breathe and where people feel comfortable.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air suitable for workplaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present, because ozone is produced in the space at high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. The combined effect of high ozone concentration and negative ions achieves good cleaning of porous materials. After air treatment the space is ventilated and then occupants may return.
