ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to clump by attaching to them; the resulting heavier particles fall quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are very harmful when inhaled indoors. Toxic compounds produced by several microbes, dispersed indoors as aerosols, form a major health hazard when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the carriers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times greater than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively from porous materials, for example upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air into the deepest parts of the lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems besides asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly well in a building with positive pressure.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and persistent cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC and VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation create a pleasant, easy-to-breathe indoor environment where people feel comfortable.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air for workplaces as well.

Indoor ozonation cannot be performed while people are present because ozone is produced in large amounts to destroy microbial spores. High ozone concentrations combined with negative ionisation achieve good cleaning results even in porous materials. After cleaning, the ozonated space should be ventilated before people return.
