ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions generated into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to cluster and fall out of the breathing zone quickly, removing them from the air.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the air, which are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes — microbial volatile organic compounds (MVOCs) — are an extreme health risk when they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Non-airborne heavy microbial toxins cause harm mainly via spores.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and indoor negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions alongside ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel via respiration to the deep lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health issues beyond asthma and allergies.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in a positively pressurised building.

    Together, ozone and negative ionisation form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours such as sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC/VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation produce a pleasant, breathable indoor air environment.

    Together they also create very clean indoor air suitable for workspaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present because ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbes.
