Pirkanmaa Welfare Region is selling Ranta-Hakala in Ikaalinen with its buildings and structures. The site has been used as a recreation area for the welfare region’s staff.

The deed must be signed within 30 days of the decision approving the sale becoming final. If the deed is not signed by the deadline for reasons attributable to the buyer, the seller’s obligation to sell to the bidder lapses. In that case the seller has the right to retain the deposit.
Payment of the purchase price
The purchase price shall be paid to the bank account specified by the seller within two weeks of signing the deed. If payment of the purchase price is delayed beyond the agreed due date, default interest under the Interest Act (633/1982) will be charged until the payment date. The default interest is the reference rate under the Interest Act plus seven percentage points, i.e. from 01/07/2025 10.5 per cent. If the balance of the purchase price is not paid on the agreed due date and still not paid within 14 days of the seller’s written demand for payment, the seller has the right to terminate the sale and to retain the €20,000 (twenty thousand) deposit as contractual penalty.
In addition to the above contractual penalty, the seller has the right to claim compensation from the buyer for all damage caused by the termination of the sale (such as the difference between a possibly lower resale price to a third party and the agreed purchase price, selling expenses and property taxes that would not have been payable by the seller had the buyer paid the purchase price on time and ownership transferred). The buyer undertakes to sign the termination agreement if conditions for termination are met and to pay the auctioneer’s fee caused by the termination.
Other costs
The buyer is responsible for the transfer tax according to the applicable tax practice.
Withdrawal from the sale
If the highest binding bidder makes an unjustified bid, they must pay a penalty to the seller within three (3) days equal to 20% of the auction price or at least €20,000.
